Christian group donates to Kaduna IDPs

A Kafanchan-based Christian organisation, “Throneroom Trust Ministry”, has joined other public spirited organisations to donate food items to Internally Displaced Persons (IDPs) at the Mercy Camp, Zonkwa, in Zangon Kataf Local Government Area of Kaduna State.

Presenting the items on behalf of the Vision Pioneer of Throneroom, Apostle Dr. Emmanuel Kure, the Administrator of Throneroom, Pastor John Akpata, said the donation was intended to cushion the effects of recent attacks at Gora Gan and other communities.

Receiving the items on behalf of the Zangon Kataf Local Government Council Chairman, Dr. Elias Manza, the Vice Chairman, Mr. Yakubu Tonak, appreciated the gesture, describing it as heart-warming. The IDP Camp Coordinator, Rev. Gambo Waziri, said over 2,400 people were initially camped as a result of the attacks, but that the number had reduced to slightly above 500.
