The Akwa Ibom State Governor, Udom Emmanuel, has urged citizens to protect the achievements realised by the state in 34 years by electing a worthy successor for him in 2023.
In a broadcast message to mark the 34th anniversary celebration of the state on Thursday in Uyo, the governor boasted that his administration had done well to move the state forward, given the resources at his disposal.

He urged the people to pick a successor that would expand on his developmental strides, adding that the state should not be allowed to go back on the unity, peace and security it had attained for the future of the children, and in making its youths productive.
He described the story of Akwa Ibom as “a national story, a destination of choice and a land soaked in peace and development.”
