Four persons have reportedly died and two others hospitalised following cholera outbreak in Jakusko Local Government Area of Yobe State.
The Executive Secretary, Yobe State Primary Health Care Management Board, Dr Babagana Kundi, confirmed the incident.

He said the state rapid response team has been mobilised to the area.
“The situation is under control. I spoke with the primary health care coordinator in the area and directed him to begin decontamination of the area,” he said. The local government Chairman, Abdullahi Hassan Gwayo, charged the community health workers to take drastic action to prevent the disease from spreading.
He advised the resident to heed to safety measures by health workers.
