The Xinhua News Agency will continue to pay attention to development in Nigeria and report stories of friendship between China and the country.
Mr Li Wenfei, deputy director of the agency’s Africa Regional Bureau, disclosed this at the opening ceremony of the “Lens of Xinhua: Images of the Century News Photo Exhibition” in Abuja.
“Over the years, we have maintained a strong cooperation, with Xinhua News Agency not only conveying China’s stories to the Nigerian people but also telling the story of Nigeria to the Chinese people through interviews by our reporters.
“These stories have contributed greatly to enhancing mutual understanding between the two peoples and enhancing friendship between China and Nigeria,” he said.

The news photo exhibition covers all historical periods of China’s revolution, construction and reform, focusing on a series of major events and key nodes recorded in history from the perspective of journalism and social changes.
