Chilling out at Frasers

The invitation to end a long work week at Fraiser Suites was a welcome idea. It was a nice way to unwind and simply chill out. Curiosity got the better of me after I received the invitation.

I first had to check it out online, beginning with the bathroom and there … L’Occitane? They use L’Occitane, hmm, I was impressed and let’s say, I was sold too.

Fraser Suites is located in Abuja’s Central Area. Although it is not as big as others in its league, it is deceitfully enticing in the sense that, until you begin to explore the premises, you have no clue how extensive it is.

It is first the warmth of the colours, the serenity of the environment and then the room which almost audibly says, “welcome home.” It was impossible not to let out a delightful squeal as I instantly relaxed relishing the thoughts that I wouldn’t have to deal with making dinner, breakfast or laying the bed. All of these, I was having for free even if only for one night.

One cannot but notice the harmonious blend of colours with patterns and textures in the furniture, art pieces and other accessories of the interior and exterior of the hotel.

From the foyer, suites, to the meeting rooms, to play area for children, gazebo and daintily organised relaxation spots, luxury sprawls all around. My suite, a living room, bedroom, kitchenette equipped with a smart tv and work station made my stay all the more comfortable.

If this was only the one-bedroom executive, I was eager to see what the two-bedroom, three-bedroom and four-bedroom suites had to offer.  I was not disappointed at all. They were worth every bit of my time, visiting them.

The staff were professional, ensuring that the experience was a good as could have been at home. It was possible to have a quiet meal in the well-lit and spacious restaurant as one enjoyed the scenery looking out its large windows.

Dinner and breakfast at Ekabo Restaurant were a delightful experience overlooking the swimming pool and greenery around it. The buffet service ranged from Nigerian to continental and Indian cuisines which left guests spoiled for choice but with the opportunity to have a taste of every single one.

As guests made acquaintances and friends and family came to dine, it was an opportunity for me to take a walk out to enjoy some chit chat with the pet of the house, a parrot, and take in some of the outdoor freshness by the pool as other guests came for a swim.

Since opening in June 2017, Fraser Suites is already bagging laurels including the World Luxury Hotel Awards in December 2017 and the Global Winner for Luxury Business Serviced Apartments in 2017.

It was a refreshing time at Fraser Suites, one that provided good tonic for the week ahead.
