Children on their way to school cling to the steel ropes of a collapsed suspension bridge – all to save an extra half an hour on their journey. A pillar supporting the bridge was damaged when the Ciberang river in Indonesia flooded on Monday, according to Epi Sopian the head of Sanghiang Tanjung village. But kids in the village in the Lebak region are still using it to get to school. One said that a detour across the next bridge would take them an extra 30 minutes. The suspension bridge was built in 2001.
