Child trafficking syndicate busted in Rivers, 16 rescued

The Rivers State Police Command has busted a child trafficking ring, rescued 16 children and arrested a female suspect.

SP Grace Iringe-Koko, the command’s spokeswoman, who disclosed this in an interview, said that the children were found in an estate in Ozuoba community in Obio/Akpor LGA.

She said, “The 16 children were rescued by our police operatives in Ozuoba following a tip-off. One individual has been arrested and an investigation is underway.’’ (NAN)
