Daily Trust reports that the girl was trafficked from Lagos to work as a maid at a house located at Unguwa Uku area of Kano state by a man who brought her with an agreement to be receiving her monthly pay.
However, the Hisbah operatives rescued the girl who was found wandering around Unguwa Uku park after she came out of the house she was kept to work.
According to the Officer in Charge of the Intelligence, Criminality and Dispatch (ICD) unit of the command, Musa Ishaq said they have launched an investigation into the case and are hopeful that soon they will trace the house she worked and apprehend the culprits
He said, “After launching an investigation, we got to locate her parents who reside at Apapa area of Lagos. They have eventually come to Kano with the girl’s sister and they later took her with them.”
Recall that in a video circulating on social media, the girl was seen pleading with people who knew her or her parents to please help reunite her with them.
