The minister of information, Lai Muhammad, has denied that Federal Government entered into a swap deal with Boko Haram before securing the release of the 21 Chibok school girls.
The minister described the release of the girls as a ‘negotiated release’ rather than a ‘swap deal’.
Speaking to newsmen at the ministry of culture, on Thursday, the minister said the released chibok girls have been airlifted to Kaduna, where a team of doctors and psychiatric doctors will meet and evaluate them.
Thereafter they will be airlifted to Abuja today.
On whether only 21 of the girls were released due to pregnancies or other conditions, the minister said he could not answer such a question in such a forum.
