And Chelsea, who won the 2021 UEFA Champions League, celebrated their former player via their official Facebook page.
“Happy Birthday, Victor Moses!”, the Blues said.
Moses joined Chelsea in 2012 from Wigan Athletics but for the 2016-2018 Antonio Conte administration as manager, he never managed to secure a place in Chelsea’s squad.
He went on loans for six of the nine seasons he was on Chelsea’s books.
Nevertheless, with the Blues, he won a Premier League, Europa League, Community Shield and an FA Cup.
At the international level, Moses switched nationality to his country of birth, Nigeria, in 2011 and played crucial roles as Nigeria qualified for and won the 2013 African Cup of Nations, as well as helping the country make it to the 2014 and 2018 World Cups.
However, with the team exiting the 2018 World Cup at the group stage, Moses announced a shock retirement from international football in 2018.
But there are now rumours the Sparta Moscow forward could be welcomed back into the Super Eagles’ ranks for the upcoming Africa Cup of Nations in Cameroon next month.
