Chelsea FC Kayawa will lock horns with Liverpool FC Daura in one of the quarter-final matches in the ongoing President Muhammadu Buhari (PMB) Super Cup for youth football clubs in Daura Senatorial Zone.

This is following the conclusion of the Round of 16 matches where eight outstanding clubs emerged for quarter-final matches starting today with the opening tie between Serie A  FC Kankia and FC Nasara Zango at the Daura Township stadium.

To reach the round of eight, hard-fighting Serie A FC Kankia defeated Musa Musa 5-4 on penalties after a 2-2 draw in regulation time.

In the second quarter-final match slated for Tuesday, October 18, Musa Haro who edged Arewa United Kankia 2-0 will battle Ashafa Zango FC who triumphed 3-1 on penalties over Dragon Mani after 1-1 in normal time.

After a one-day rest, the competition will continue on Thursday, October 20 with the third quarter-final match between Usman Ango FC who eliminated El Clasico Kankia 3-1 on penalties after 1-1 draw and Galaxy Mani who subdued FC Dubai 5-4 on penalties.

The final quarter-final match which comes up on Friday, October 21 is potentially an explosive fixture as competition favourites Chelsea FC who walloped Galaxy Bindawa 5-2 in the round of 16 will square up against Liverpool who dug deep to beat Super Stars Kankia 3-2 on penalties after it ended 1-1 in regulation time.

According to the fixtures released to Daily Trust by the organisers, the first semi-final which will pitch winners of the first and second quarter-final matches will be played on Monday, November 7 while the second semi-final match to be played between the winners of the third and fourth quarter-final is slated for Tuesday, November 8.

The grand finale of this year’s PMB Super Cup will be held on November 29 at Daura Township stadium.
