David Neres confessed he is desperate for a Premier League move in the future, with Arsenal and Chelsea both in contention to sign him.
The Ajax attacking midfielder has attracted a lot of interest across the continent after playing a key role in his side’s unexpected run to the Champions League semi-finals.
It is thought it will take about £40million to take him away from the Dutch giants, who are expected to cash in on their youthful squad this summer, with Arsenal keen on a summer move and Chelsea eyeing a deal beyond the expiry of their transfer ban.
While Neres was coy over his future, he admitted he would love a move to England’s top flight, inviting a bid from the Premier League’s top sides.
“Of course, the Premier League interests me,” he told the Liverpool Echo. “It’s the best league in the world, and I have always wanted to play there. But I leave all that in God’s hands.
“I try to stay focused on what’s happening on the pitch, and on the competition I’m playing in. I leave those things to my agents to deal with.”
