Tottenham have qualified for the Champions League Semi-final after playing out a 3-4 scoreline against Manchester City at the Etihad Stadium on Wednesday night.
They had won the first leg at home 1-0 last week and now scaled through on the away goals advantage despite losing tonight.
In a very entertaining encounter, Raheem Sterling put the hosts ahead in the 4th minute before Son Heung-min equalized in the 7th minute. In just three minutes later, Son put the visitors in lead but City rallied round and got an equalizer a minute later through Bernardo Silva.
Sterling would score again in the 21st minute and Sergio Aguero added another one in the 59th minute but substitute Fernando Llorente levelled for Tottenham in the 73rd minute to ensure his side earned the ticket to face Ajax in one of the semi- final matches.
City thought they had turned the game around in the added time when Sterling fired home but after consulting the VAR, the referee ruled off the goal as Aguero, who gave the assist, was adjudged to be in an offside position when he got the ball.
