The Competent Governance For Accountability And Civic Trust (CGACT) has said Andrew Oscar Lee is not a kidnapper as claimed.
Oscar was attacked by youths who mistook him for a kidnapper when he met with the wife of Hon. Precious Ajaino.
The group also refuted claims that Hon Ajaino ordered his boys to dehumanized Oscar.

This was contained in a press statement released in Abuja on Monday, by Omoba Michael, the National Coordinator of CGACT.
Hon Ajaino is a former councillor, Chairman and currently the Delta State’s Direct Labour Director General (DG).
“Sometime in 11/11/12, a day to his inauguration as the Mayor of Ethiope West, some gunmen rode on a bike fully armed with a rifle to kidnap him and subsequent on the 11/11/12, one of his wives was kidnapped.
“After further investigation on the incident, it was gathered that some members of his community were the brain behind the attack.
“And in April 2015, he was almost kidnapped again. And both cases were reported to the Oghara Police station in Ethiope West LGA.”
So, when Oscar started making contact with Hon Ajaino’s wife, it was assumed that he had an intention to kidnap the Direct Labour’s Director General through his wife.
“So when Hon Ajaino’s wife came up with the chat with Andrew Oscar, it was the same strategy earlier employed in the kidnapping of one of his wives.
“And the Hon became very careful and decided to use his wife to lure him to the open. And this also coincided with the many recent threat.”
When Oscar was apprehended, community members numbering close to 300 descended on him, thinking he was a kidnapper but CGACT said: “The violence melted on Andrew Oscar was not authorized by Hon. Precious Ajaino as insinuated.
“He [Oscar] actually did not commit any crime against the law or against laws of the land or neither is his making of advances to a married woman a crime.
“So, when Andrew was rounded up by the youths, and the beating started, it was Hon Precious who called in the police to save Andrew’s life from the mob.”
