He said: “We in REDAN commend Abdul Samad Rabiu for his integrity, his tenacity and for being a fairly business person, and for that reason we call on other gladiators in the built industry that produce building materials to follow suit, somebody like Dangote and the rest of the people producing cement and other building materials in the country

“The benefits of reduction in cement price is a unanimous welcome development because it is going to affect so many lives of Nigerians, most times the project slows down Because of the cost of cement.

“So we will be able to provide affordable housing to Nigerians and the cost of building materials must come down. We sincerely appreciate and commend BUA for his words to President Bola Ahmed Tinubu recently.

“When you look at the deficit in housing, it is because of so many parameters, from ,banditry, floods, natural disasters that comes, it has added to the deficit of housing in the country and the only way forward is to get cheaper cement because cement is the primary product for building.

“So, we respect this decision from BUA cement and we welcome this decision Because it is going to provide employment to so many Nigerians.”
