Mrs Oghogho Musa, wife of the Chief of Defence Staff, Gen. Christopher Musa, says Nigeria has one of the highest death rates among women and children.
She emphasized the need to sensitise them on common health preventive practices.
Mrs Musa, who is the president of the Defence and Police Officers Wives Association (DEPOWA), also stated that breast cancer was the second most common cancer in the world while cervical cancer was the fourth most frequent cancer in women.

She stated this in Abuja on Wednesday when DEPOWA donated medical equipment to the Defence Headquarters Medical Centre, as part of a 3-Day medical outreach to mark the global Cancer Awareness Month.
