Cattle rearers under the auspices of Bayelsa State Cattle Rearers and Dealers Association, have asked the state government to provide necessary facilities at the Central Abattoir along Bayelsa Palm road, saying their businesses are being threatened due to lack of infrastructure.
Secretary of the Association, Alhaji Ali Maiwada, who made the plea on Friday in Yenagoa, lamented that the cattle rearers have been neglected despite contributing to the state economy in terms of payment of taxes and supplying the protein needs of the people.
