Cat trapped on 30ft electricity pole is rescued after 24 HOURS

A hapless cat had to be rescued after being stuck at the top of a 30ft electricity pole for 24 hours. Betty, a black and white moggy, managed to climb the wooden structure in Cam, Loucestershire, but lost her nerve when trying to get down and was stuck. Utility firm Western Power Distribution switched off the power supply to the whole street as a precaution while they rescued the feline. Firefighters were also on the scene and held tarpaulin to catch the pet if she fell.
