The FRSC spokesperson in Ogun, Florence Okpe, said the car rammed into the two motorcycles with registration numbers FFF617 QM and LAR489VY.

Okpe said the suspected causes of the crash were route violation and speeding, which she said, led to the loss of control on the part of the Lexus car driver as it rammed into the motorcycles.

She explained that the injured victims were taken to Emergency Hospital, Ojota and Real Divine Touch Hospital, Ibafo for medical attention, adding the dead body was deposited at Divine Touch Hospital morgue.

Okpe quoted the Sector Commander of the FRSC in Ogun, Ahmed Umar, to have described the crash as one that could be averted if rules and regulations were properly obeyed.

He also commiserated with the families of the victims, advising motorists to always consider other road users.
