A 50-year old expatriate, Ehisan Fahed Johari has been crushed to death while his Personal Assistant (PA), identified as Ademola was left injured in a road accident along Lagos-Ibadan expressway.

The expatriate from Middle East Syria was on his way to Lagos from Akure with his Toyota Forerunner Jeep marked LND 345 CV when the accident occurred at about 2:20pm on Friday.

It was learnt that the man’s car was hit by another car, a development which made him alighted to assess the extent of damages done to his the Jeep.

And in the process of assessing the damages done to the Jeep, a Kia Rio with registration number KSF 725 AX which had hitherto been hit by a car in turn reportedly knocked him down and he died on the spot.

The Spokesman of the Traffic Compliance and Enforcement Agency (TRACE), Babatunde Akinbiyi, confirmed the incident to journalists in Abeokuta, saying 18 people were involved in the accident.

He blamed the accident on excessive speeding and lost of control while driving.

Akinbiyi said the driver of the car which hit the deceased, Oguntade Segun, had been arrested and taken to Sagamu police station.

“The white man and his driver came down to see the extent of the damage, in the process of getting into the car to continue the journey, a car hit another car which in turn hit the white man.

“The driver of the car that hit the white man has been arrested and taken to sagamu police station”, he said.
