Many Nigerians are believed to be developing cancer silently and without them knowing it.
Managing Director, A.I. Global Concept Limited, Alhaji Ibrahim Abdullahi made the remarks yesterday in Abuja at the beginning of a 4-day retreat on Prevention and Treatment of Cancer, Hepatitis and Typhoid organized for Management Staff of the Tertiary Education Trust Fund (TETFUND).
According to him, Nigerians have been advised to be conscious about their health in order to prevent Cancer, Hepatitis and Typhoid in the country.
He commended the Executive Secretary, TETFUND, Professor Sulaiman Elias Bogoro for approving the executive retreat to educate participants as part of human capacity building for its top executives.
Also speaking, the Head of Oncology and Radiotherapy department, National Hospital Abuja, Dr. Maurice N. Nimark implored women to go for periodic checkups on cancer, adding that both men and women are at high risk of contacting the deadly disease.
