Dan’iya said the PDP leadership in the state would not allow people claiming any form of political backing to harass and intimidate opponents with the aim of creating fear in them for political advantage.

“As we remain law abiding citizens of the nation, any form of intimidation and harassment in the name of politics using different elements will be resisted.

“We call on all our PDP supporters in the state to remain calm as all legal options are being pursued to see to the release of our members that were unlawfully arrested,” he said.

Dan’iya described Gov. Aminu Tambuwal as a leader who always ensures peaceful resolution of all matters under the law rather than using confrontation.

He called on all residents of the state to rally round support for the State Government in its efforts to maintain peace and tranquility.

Dan’iya cautioned parents on the need to watch over their children to prevent them from being used by politicians as political thugs.

Responding, the chairman of the committee, Alhaji Ummarun Kwabo pledged to live up to the expectations.
