The Buhari Campaign Organisation (BCO) said, yesterday, that it has no doubt that Senator Bola Tinubu will deliver as co-chairman of the APC Presidential Campaign Council.
The group, which vouched for Tinubu, said the former governor of Lagos State will not disappoint the party and its presidential candidate, Muhammadu Buhari, in the onerous task given to him.
In a statement signed by its Director of Communications and Strategic Planning, Malam Gidado Ibrahim, the group said Tinubu had what it took to deliver, considering that he had political structure and outreach.
Gidado said they had to stand by Tinubu considering the “rising discontent within the APC over the composition of its presidential campaign council inaugurated, yesterday, by President Buhari.”
According to the said report, state governors and some prominent members of the party were allegedly not happy with the composition of the council because it was populated mainly by people believed to be loyal to Tinubu.
“If there is party supremacy, whereby directives of party leaders are being enforced today, it was the ‘Jagaban’ who sustained it. By employing both partisan and non-partisan social forces, Tinubu was able to give validity and currency to party supremacy,” Gidado said.
