Cameroonians live in fear as foreign spies abduct 8 in Calabar

No fewer than eight suspected supporters of breakaway Southern Cameroon otherwise called Ambazonian Republic have allegedly been arrested by agents of President Paul Biya for holding what has been described as illegal meeting in Calabar, capital of Cross River State.

This follows an unconfirmed report that thousands of Cameroonian spies have allegedly invaded many parts of the State to monitor activities of ‘Ambazobians’ against the government of long time President Biya.

A Cameroonian senior citizen who is a medical expert in Calabar but  pleaded not to mention his name for fear of being similarly picked up, disclosed this to reporters.

SPONSOR AD

He said more than 50,000 Cameroonians were now Cross River State as refugees but are presently living in extreme fear of being arrested or killed any time because of the massive infiltration of the city by sponsored spies from the government of Cameroon.

“Few days ago, eight of us who were holding their harmless welfare meeting somewhere in Calabar were swooped upon, beaten and shipped to Cameroon by Biya’s spies who are everywhere in Calabar. According to the spies, the people were said to be planning against Biya. We live in perpetually fear as the violent crises persist in the English speaking Cameroon”, he said.
