As part of efforts to boost social interaction and entrepreneurship, a group, CalabarBoyFoodie, has announced plans to celebrate its 4th annual edition of Plantain festival in grand style with Abuja residents.
A statement made available to newsmen, signed by the convener, Enobong Inyang, said the festival, slated to hold on Saturday 22nd October, 2022 at Heritage Africa Village Square Kado Abuja, by NAF Conference Center, would attract thousands of plantain lovers and food vendors to make merry.
Inyang noted the event to begin by 12pm, would feature food, games, live music and competitions with prizes to be won.
“The Abuja Plantain Festival is a food show that brings plantain lovers together and is powered by Calabarboyfoodie, a food review blog brand with an energetic social media fan base passionate about amplifying the culture of food and drink businesses in Nigeria and around Africa.
“This festival is a yearly event that attracts thousands of plantain lovers and food vendors with the aim of improving the service, production capacity, and experiences of restaurants and food businesses in Nigeria and Africa.
“The festival under the umbrella name The Plantain Festival is currently in two cities – London and Abuja and we plan to expand to over 20 cities across the world.
