CAF names host cities for 2015 Nations Cup

It was part of the decisions of the executive committee meeting at the headquarters of the African football governing body released yesterday in Cairo, Egypt.
The four host cities for the Orange Africa Cup of Nations picked were; Rabat, Marrakech, Agadir and Tangier. Casablanca will serve as an alternative venue for the 17 January to 7 February tournament.
In the same vein, the Libyan Football Federation has submitted the cities and venues for the 2017 Africa Cup of Nations for the approval of the CAF Executive Committee.
Meanwhile, the hosts for the 2019 and 2021 editions of the Africa Cup of Nations (CAN) as well as the 2018 and 2020 editions of the African Nations Championship (CHAN) will be announced in the first half of 2014. The deadline for the submission of applications for the CAN is November 25, 2013 and December 4, 2013 for the CHAN.
A CAF inspection team will visit interested countries between January and April 2014 to evaluate infrastructure and other facilities.
The body also named host countries for its competitions for the period of 2015-2017. Seychelles will host the 2015 African Beach Soccer Championship while Democratic Republic of Congo will take their turn in the hosting of the 2015 African U -23 Championship.
Cameroon has been selected to host the 2016 African Women’s Championship while Zambia will host the 2017 African U-20 Championship.
Also, the timeline for future competitions were approved as follows; African Women’s Championship, Namibia 2014 (11 to 25 October, 2014) – African U-20 Championship, Senegal 2015 (8 to 22 March, 2015) – African U-17 Championship, Niger 2015 (2 to 16 May, 2015).
Meanwhile, the hosts for the 2019 and 2021 editions of the Africa Cup of Nations (CAN) as well as the 2018 and 2020 editions of the African Nations Championship (CHAN) will be announced in the first half of 2014.
CAF Executive Committee has also lifted with immediate effect, the six-month suspension of Liberia Football Association President, Musa Hassan A. Bility with effect from May 2,  2013.
