Bwari residents seek help to complete power project

According to the head of the community, Yaro N’Allah, the residents have bought electricity poles and cables in 2013 but still needed transformer to complete the electrification project.
Yaro, said the project has already gulped over N2m.
“The contractor brought the transformer but took it away. He said he needs N3m for it,” Yaro said, adding that the over 1,000 inhabitants of the community have been without electricity with the poles and cables staring in their faces.
“We met with the area council chairman regarding this but nothing has been done so far,” he said, adding that he was optimistic that the government would salvage the situation soon.
The residents have also appealed to the government to repair the deplorable roads in the community, build primary healthcare centre, schools and police outpost to propel their development.
