The kidnapped younger brother of the Local Education Authority (LEA) secretary of Bwari Area council, Titus Ayuba Dagami, has regained  freedom from his abductors after payment of undisclosed ransom.

Daily Trust had reported that Dagami was abducted on Wednesday, April 13, by gunmen, who invaded the private residence of the education secretary at Shere village of the council.

A source close to the LEA secretary, who preferred anonymity, confirmed the release of the victim last Thursday night at a forest in Niger State.

“But the unfortunate thing that happened was that, the person who took the ransom to them was also abducted and held captive, until another ransom was sourced. They released the two victims on Thursday night,” he said.

He said the victims were currently at an undisclosed hospital undergoing medical checkup.

The spokesperson of the FCT police command, ASP Maryam Yusuf, did not pick calls or reply text message sent to her phone to confirm the incident.
