A gang of yet to be identified people on Thursday killed a butcher identified as Musa Ahmadu and dumped his body inside an abandoned compound in Madalla town in Niger state.
The deceased, who was operating Suya (roasted meat) joint around Mobile filling station’s junction in the community, left to ease himself behind the spot but never returned.

A resident, who simply gave his name as Halilu, said it was the following morning that people in the neighbourhood saw blood stains on the ground and raised the alarm before reporting the matter to the police.
“The police traced the blood’s spot and located his remains inside the building, with part of its fence been tampered with,” he said.
It was learnt that some youths in the community later pulled down the fence of the abandoned building in anger.
The Divisional Police Officer (DPO) of Madalla, CSP Adamu Danjuma, confirmed the incident to Daily Trust.
He said the remains of the deceased had been handed over to his family.
Daily Trust learnt that the late Musa, who lived around Kwata area in Suleja, had since been buried in the town.
He is survived by two wives, and 10 children.
