Telecommunications operator, Globacom, on Tuesday announced two subscribers in Anambra and Oyo states as the latest winners of brand new Kia Rio cars.
A statement by the company said a 23-year-old Anambra-based businessman, Anierobi Chinedu John and a 53-year-old Ibadan auto mechanic, Mutiu Owolabi, joined six previous car winners in the ongoing customer reward promo by Glo tagged Glo Joy Unlimited Extravaganza.

It said apart from the car winner in Onitsha, 92 other subscribers received home appliances like television sets, power generators and refrigerators at the well- attended ceremonies at Gloworld offices in Anambra, and Oyo.
Chinedu said: “This Christmas gift just came at the right time. I’m very grateful to Globacom for this wonderful opportunity.
“They have made possible what ordinarily looked unachievable. This year, I had never dreamt of becoming a car owner, let alone a brand new one. I do not know how to express my joy.”
In Ibadan, Owolabi said: “I never knew God had prepared such a beautiful end of the year gift for me”.
The Ibadan event, attended by Oyo State Deputy Governor Rauf Olaniyan, was the second prize-presentation to be held by Globacom in Ibadan. 51 other winners of television sets, power generators and refrigerators also received their prizes yesterday.
