Detectives of the Lagos State anti-crime outfit, Rapid Response Squad (RRS), have arrested a middle-aged bus driver, Amodu Agbaje, with 10 sacks of weeds suspected to be Indian hemp worth over N3 million.
The state’s police spokesman, SP Benjamin Hundeyin, said the 10 bags of the illicit drug were being conveyed in a Lagos colour commercial bus with registration number, LND 995 XT, from Iddo to a destination in Mushin.

Hundeyin said luck ran out on the suspects when RRS operatives on routine patrol stopped the bus at about 4am on April 29, 2022, at Stadium Bus Stop, Surulere.
He said while two occupants of the vehicle escaped, the driver, Amodu Agbaje, was apprehended.
He further said, “The driver claimed he was offered N25,000 to convey the drug with a street value of N3,000,000.”
