Suspected burglars have again vandalised the media centre of the Kwara State Stadium Complex.
City & Crime reports that items reportedly stolen in the fresh attack include air conditioners, ceiling fans, wires sockets and electrical circuitries, worth millions of naira.
Observers and stakeholders in the sporting community in the state have described the development as worrisome.
Reacting to the incident, Kwara State Chapter of Sports writers Association of Nigeria (SWAN) expressed dismay, saying that vandalism has become routine.

In a statement jointly signed by the Chairman, Ayodeji Ismail and Secretary, Dare Kuti, SWAN called for improved security within and around the stadium to guarantee the safety of not only the facilities but also business, athletes and spectators.
“SWAN is disturbed with the frequent vandalisation and stealing of items and tools at the media centre of the state’s stadium complex.
“The development is a huge set back to the stadium media equipment”, the statement read.
SWAN observed that the media centre was among the facilities recently renovated by the state government ahead of the commencement of the ongoing league.
