There was a drama at the Isolo Magistrates’ Court, Lagos, when the police told how two burglars fell into one of their victims’ bedroom while on a mission to steal.
The incident, according to the police, occurred penultimate Thursday at Ijegun area of Lagos.

The police told the court that the accused, Habeeb Yusuf (20) and Olayide Idris (20), climbed up the roof of a house with the intention of entering the apartment but unfortunately fell into the bedroom of one of their victims.
The police said the accused were consequently apprehended by the victim and his neighbours, who handed them to the police.
Describing how the incident happened, the prosecutor, Insp Solomon, said, “My Lord, the operation which occurred in the middle of the night ended on a sad note for the two thieves as they landed in the hands of the victim without being chased.”
He said during interrogation the accused admitted to have been using ladders to climb rooftops to steal property before they were caught.
The Magistrate, Mrs O. I. Williams, granted them bail in the sum of N100,000 with two sureties in like sum each and adjourned pending when the bail conditions are met.
