The Chief of Army Staff, Lt. General Tukur Yusuf Buratai, will tomorrow commission some newly constructed accommodations for soldiers at the 33 Artillery Brigade, Shadawanka Barracks in Bauchi state.
He will also commission newly constructed Warrant Officers and Sergeant’s Mess at the Nigerian Army Armoured Corps, Obienu Barracks in the state.
This was disclosed in a statement signed by the Assistant Director, Army Public Relations, 33 Artillery Brigade, Bauchi, Major Yahaya Nasuru Kabara.
Major Yahaya stated that the commissioning is in line with the vision of the Chief of Army Staff of having a professionally responsive Nigerian Army that will continue to discharge its constitutional roles.
He added that the newly constructed soldiers’ accommodation, Warrant Officers and Sergeant’s Mess built by the Chief of Army Staff are part of efforts to transform the Nigerian Army facilities and improve the welfare of its personnel in the field and in the Barracks.
He called on residents not to panic about movement of troops and equipment within the general area adding that it is part of the activities for the General’s visit for the commissioning.
