Governor Mai Mala Buni of Yobe State has directed the security agencies and community leaders to safeguard the NYSC corps members posted to serve the state.
Buni stated this at the NYSC Permanent Orientation Camp in Dazigau, Nangere LGA as the 2024 Batch A stream II corps members were officially sworn in.
The governor, who was represented by the commissioner, Ministry of Sports and Youths, Hon. Barma Shettima, emphasized the significance of their deployment, urging them to see it as an opportunity to contribute to national development.
He assured the corps members of conducive environment for their service and taking care of their welfare throughout their service.

He acknowledged the NYSC’s role in fostering national unity and appreciated efforts to enhance camp facilities.
The NYSC State Coordinator, Hajiya Salamatu A. Muhammad, commended the corps members for their academic achievements and highlighted the importance of the orientation course in shaping their service year.
She said a total of 1,545 corps members took the oath of allegiance, administered by Justice Adamu Mohammed Jajere of the Yobe State High Court.
