The Yobe State government has announced that the construction of the proposed Damaturu Mega Industrial Village in the 2023 budget will soon commence creating job opportunities for the youth.
Governor Mai Mala Buni stated this when some All Progressives Congress (APC) youth supporters visited him at the government house, Damaturu for solidarity support for his re-election.
The governor, who announced plans for more job opportunities, said, “As things improve, we must provide more employment opportunities for our people.”
He said the employment of more youth in the civil service for permanent and pensionable jobs remained the priority of his administration to fill existing vacancies and improve service delivery.

He attributed the numerous successes in the area of job creation and other investments to the peaceful disposition of the youth, maintaining that their support encouraged him to focus more on governance than on politics.
While appreciating the support given to him by the teeming youth, Buni said, “I just want to thank the youth and to reassure you I am going to work tirelessly for you. Yobe youth are the most peaceful and respectful. And this is giving us encouragement to do more.”
He called on the youth to continue to be law-abiding and go about their political activities peacefully as the state prepared for the March 18 governorship and state house of assembly polls.
