Buni rejigs Convention sub-committees, drops Lai, replaces Ganduje

Governor Mai Mala Buni, Chairman of the All Progressives Congress (APC) has rejigged the convention sub-committee of the ruling party.

Governor Mai Mala Buni of Yobe State and Chairman of the Caretaker/Extraordinary Convention Planning Committee (CECPC) of the All Progressives Congress (APC) has rejigged the convention sub-committee of the ruling party.

Sen. John James Akpanudoedehe, secretary of the CECPC, announced this on Thursday.

In the new list, Ganduje, who was chairman of the Protocol Committee, was replaced with Governor Yahaya Bello of Kogi.

However, Ganduje was moved to accreditation of Volunteers/Diplomats/Diaspora/Observers sub-committee

Femi Fani-Kayode, former Minister of Aviation, was reappointed into the Media and Publicity sub-committee headed by Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu of Lagos State.

During his short reign as APC Chairman, Governor Sani Bello of Niger State, had inaugurated the convention sub-committees and declared their membership composition as final.

He had removed Fani-Kayode, who was on the initial list compiled by Buni and replaced him with the Minister of Information and Culture, Alhaji Lai Mohammed as co-Chairman.

Akpanudodehe emphatically stated that the new list supersedes any other one in circulation.
