Governor Mai Mala Buni of Yobe State has distributed the sum of N19.5m to 195 female students of the Yobe State University who are victims of a recent fire disaster.
Daily Trust on Sunday reports the inferno which occurred last week in the night razed the entire female hostel, leaving the students homeless with eight of them hospitalised.
As part of efforts to fast-track the recovery from the trauma of the fire disaster and resume full academic activities, the Yobe State Emergency Management Agency (YOSEMA) has distributed N19,500,000 in cash to 195 students.

The Executive Secretary of the Agency, Dr Goje Muhammad, said each of the 195 students received N100,000 in cash and three wrappers as directed by Governor Mai Mala Buni as part of his interventions.
