The Yobe State governor, Mai Mala Buni, his deputy, Idi Barde Gubana and other state cabinet members, on Sunday took doses of the Astrazenica COVID-19 vaccine.

The vaccine was administered on the governor by his personal physician, Dr Mohammed Salim Umar, who was assisted by the state Commissioner for Health Dr Mohammed Lawan Gana.
A statement signed by the Director, Press Affairs and Media, Mamman Mohammed, noted that the governor’s vaccination marked the official launch of the exercise.
Buni urged people of the state to get vaccinated and continue to observe the COVID-19 protocols.
