Governor Mai Mala Buni of Yobe State has condoled with the Nigerian Customs Service and the family of the officer killed by suspected Boko Haram insurgents in Geidam on Saturday.

In a statement signed by his Director of Press and Media Affairs, Mamman Muhammad, Buni described the attack and the loss of the officer as sad and unfortunate.
He assured the commitment of his administration to continue partnering with security operatives to improve the relative peace enjoyed across the state.
