Chairman of the All Progressives Congress (APC) Caretaker/Extra-Ordinary National Convention Planning Committee and Yobe State Governor, Mai Mala Buni, on Wednesday, met with his Kogi State counterpart, Yahaya Bello, in Abuja.
Our correspondent reports that the APC candidate for the Edo election, Pastor Osagie Ize-Iyamu, was also at the meeting held behind closed-doors at Buni’s Abuja residence.

Ize-Iyamu lost the election to candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, Governor Godwin Obaseki.
Daily Trust learnt that the meeting was not unconnected with the outcome of last Saturday’s election in Edo state.
However, details of the meeting were sketchy at the time of filing this report.
The APC national leadership and President Muhammadu Buhari had congratulated Obaseki on his re-election.
Sources at the APC national secretariat, however, said the party was trying to convince Ize-Iyamu to accept defeat and move on.
