Bullet-riddled corpse found in Edo

The bullet-riddled corpse of a man identified as Emmanuel Williamson (21) has been found on the Benin-Lagos bypass by Olukun, near Benin City in Ovia North East LGA.

The Edo State Police Command’s spokesperson, Chidi Nwabuzor, said the DPO of Ekiadolor received information that a male corpse later identified as Emmanuel Williamson (21) was seen lying on the Benin-Lagos road.

He said, “The police immediately mobilised to the scene and observed bullet wounds on the chest of the deceased. The corpse was evacuated to the University of Benin Teaching Hospital (UBTH) mortuary for autopsy.”
