BUK’s Dr Sabo Kurawa dies at 75

One of the pioneering members that established the Sociology Department of Bayero University Kano (BUK), Dr Sabo Kurawa, is dead.

Late Dr Sabo Kurwa died at the age of 75 after a brief illness in Kano.

He has been buried according to Islamic rite at Dan-Dole cemetery in Kano.

Before his death, Dr Sabo has left the university service on retirement few years ago.

Late Dr Sabo will always be remembered for his contribution in ensuring the establishment of the Sociology department in the university he served for decades.

His death came a day after a professor in the university’s Department of Mass Communication, Balarabe Maikaba, died.
