Bukar emerges Maiduguri NSE chair

Engr. Kam-Selem Alhaji Bukar has emerged as the chairman of the Nigerian Society of Engineers (NSE), Maiduguri branch, Borno State.

Bukar, who is a member of the Council for the Regulation of Engineering in Nigeria (COREN), the Nigerian Institution of Civil Engineers (NICE) and other professional bodies, was on Monday sworn-in as the new chairman of the branch, having scored 99 – the highest vote.

He, alongside other elected leaders, would steer the affairs of NSE Maiduguri branch for a term of two years as specified in the constitution of the professional body. 

Engr. Bukar, 46, started his engineering career in 1992 as an intern at an engineering consulting firm, Sani-Mustapha & Associates established in 1983 by a former chairman, Capacity Building Committee of the World Federation of Engineering Organizations (WFEO) as well as a former president of COREN and NSE, late Engr. Mustapha Bulama.
