BUK loses fourth professor in one year

A professor of Business Administration at Bayero University, Kano, Prof. Ali Muhammad Garba is dead.

He died on Sunday morning after suffering from a brief illness, one week after he was admitted in a hospital in Kano.

Untill his death, Professor Garba lectured at Business Administration Department and Dangote Business School, both in Bayero University.

He was buried in Kano Sunday afternoon according to Islamic rites.

Daily Trust recalled that BUK has lost many prominent professors in May and June this year at the peak of mysterious deaths said to have been linked to COVID-19 in the state.

Garba is the fourth BUK Professor to die in 2020 after Prof. Balarabe Maikaba, a former Head of the Department of Mass Communication of the university, and Prof. Monsuru Eniola of Physical and Health Education Department.

The university also lost its Deputy Vice-Chancellor, admin, Prof Haruna Wakili in June.
