Tragedy struck in the Alanamu area of Ilorin West Local Government Area of Kwara State on Tuesday when a 52-year-old Electronics Engineer, Alhaji Taiye-Hassan Beki, lost his life when part of his building collapsed on him during a downpour.
The deceased, a father of four, was said to be urinating at the back of his house during the rainfall when some parts of the building fell on him.

It took several minutes before help could come his way as his family members were not aware that he had been trapped.
He was rushed to the University of Ilorin Teaching Hospital (UITH) after he was rescued from the debris. He died in the hospital.
He has since been buried at the Muslim Cemetery, llorin, according to Islamic rites.
The Magaji Beki Compound, Alhaji Yahaya Olowo-Beki, while speaking on the incident, described it as an act of God and prayed Almighty Allah to grant the family the fortitude to bear the loss.
