*APC, PDP have no justification to return to power

Green Party of Nigeria (GPN), Ogun East Senatorial Candidate,  Armstrong Akintunde has said the two leading political parties in the country have no moral justification to return to power having “failed to deliver on their camp promises” over the years.

He accused the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) and the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) of corruption and malgovernance which according to him, has resulted into high rate of poverty, unemployment and insecurity in the land.

Akintunde, a former students’ leader spoke with journalists on the sidelines of 33rd celebration of Akesan Day in Iperu Remo, Ogun State.

Akintunde said “This present administration in my assessment, has totally failed. There has been increase in unemployment rate compare to the last administration. In terms of corruption, I will say this administration is the most corrupt administration. This is because if you say you are fighting corruption, Nigerians must have seen success recorded so far. When last did you hear about the whistle-blower policy? How many people have been convicted so far?”

He added that “As far as Ogun State is concerned, GPN is taking over. We are taking over because out of over 60 political parties in Nigeria, GPN is the only party that’s focussed and give 80 percent chance to the youth without paying a dim for the nomination form. So, GPN is fully set and committed to take over.”
