President Muhammadu Buhari is currently holding a closed-door meeting with the newly appointed Director General (DG) of the World Trade Organisation (WTO), Dr Ngozi Okonjo-Iweala, at the Presidential Villa, Abuja.
The WTO DG, who had served Nigeria as the Minister of Finance and Supervising Minister of the Economy, was received by the Chief of Staff to the President, Professor Ibrahim Gambari, at 2:45 pm.

She was accompanied by the Ministers of Industry, Trade and Investment, Niyi Adebayo; Foreign Affairs, Geoffery Onyeama and Minister of State, Industry, Trade and Investment, Maryam Katagum.
Also on the delegation are some officials of the WTO.
The former Nigeria’s Minister of Finance arrived in the country, Saturday on a five-day working visit, after assuming office as the head of the WTO on March 1, 2021.
Okonjo-Iweala, who will later address the media after the meeting, visits the country for the first time after the confirmation of her appointment to also appreciate the support of the federal government towards her emergence.
