The All Progressives Congress (APC) National Leader, Asiwaju Bola Tinubu, Wednesday, described President Muhammadu Buhari as a “true patriot who wants the best for the nation.”
Tinubu, who felicitated with Buhari as he turns 78 on December 17, urged Nigerians to support his efforts.

He said: “I join with all patriotic and peace-loving Nigerians in supporting your efforts to move Nigeria forward and to find lasting solutions to the longstanding issues that have faced our nation for so long.
“You are a true patriot who wants the best for the nation and I join you in this desire.
“May Almighty Allah bless these efforts and support us so that at the end of the day we shall overcome and that Nigeria must stand as a prosperous and peaceful nation.
“We must at the same time thank God for your life and for granting you the grace of another birthday.”
Gbajabiamila, Wase speak too
The Speaker House of Representatives, Femi Gbajabiamila, and his Deputy, Ahmed Idris Wase also congratulated President Buhari on the celebration of his birthday.
In separate congratulatory messages on Wednesday, the two House leaders describe the President as a good leader who meant well and worked for the betterment of the country despite challenges.
Gbajabiamila, in a congratulatory message by his Special Adviser on Media and Publicity, Lanre Lasisi, said the President deserves to celebrated at 78 because of his commitment to a better Nigeria for the good of the citizens.
He commended the President’s good virtues and described him as a father to all.
“Nigeria and Nigerians have gained a lot from your wealth of experience and selfless service to the country and humanity in your 78-year sojourn on mother earth.
“As our leader, your humility, dedication to the unity of Nigeria and commitment to making the country better are unquestionable,” the Speaker said.
On his part, the Deputy Speaker, Ahmed Idris Wase, in a message by his Chief Press Secretary, Umar Muhammad Puma, said the President has been able to showcase true qualities of a good leader in his five years in office.
He added that Buhari has also proven to have a listening ear as he is always ready to do the yearnings of Nigerians.
