Buhari to send minimum wage bill to National Assembly soon

President Muhammadu Buhari, on Wednesday said he would soon forward to the National Assembly, the national minimum wage bill.

The president said, during the 2019 budget presentation to the federal legislature, that he would constitute a technical committee that would look into the issue of the national minimum wage.

He said the committee would advise on how the government could implement the national minimum wage without borrowing more money.

He said the government would also ensure that the increase in minimum wage did not affect inflation rate.

The president said he was committed to a new national minimum wage.
